HELPING LOCAL FAMILIES
Heat the Streets Run and Walk for Warmth is Common Fund of the Heartland’s annual fundraising and awareness campaign that takes place the first weekend in March. It is held in March to highlight the importance of having utilities like heat and electricity available to keep our neighbors warm and healthy. Also, many on fixed incomes struggle during winter and after the holidays to pay bills. These funds help them get back on track. 100% of the households assisted through the proceeds from this event earn less than $25,000 a year.
Proceeds from the Heat the Streets Run and Walk for Warmth directly support Common Fund of the Heartland’s Utility Assistance Program.
